Supermarket Product Sampling Wattie’s Dinners

Product sampling and a quick chat with our Brand Ambassadors bought the client’s everyday exciting meal inspiration front and centre to shoppers looking for quick and easy dinner inspiration.

 

 

 

The brief

Showcase the best performing Dinner Hub recipe: Quick & Easy Nachos.  Educate consumers about Dinner Hub, using product sampling as an enabler to promote this ongoing meal-offering, and drive sales of Wattie’s canned products. 

The mechanics

  • An in-store live cooking campaign focused on New World supermarkets throughout the North Island 
  • Provide samples to shoppers, accompanied with recipe cards to give shoppers’ inspiration and help them recreate Quick & Easy Nachos at home for themselves.
  • Sampling: Wattie’s Mild Chilli Beans and Wattie’s Mexican Style Tomatoes

The outcome

  • Over 3,500 shoppers sampled to in one week
  • Nearly 2,000 units of Wattie’s Mild Chilli Beans & Wattie’s Mexican Style Tomatoes sold throughout the entirety of the campaign
  • 56% of samples were converted to sales
