The brief

Showcase F. Whitlock & Sons Killer Beans through 2 recipes; Spicy Bean & Chicken Enchiladas, and Pork Balls and Spicy Beans via product sampling in Supermarkets. Target household shoppers and encourage trial, then purchase of the range.

The mechanics

  • A focused in-store campaign across New World, Pak n Save, and Countdown Supermarkets nationwide.
  • Live cooking in-store to demonstrate the range and provide samples to shoppers, accompanied by recipe cards to help shoppers recreate the meal at home for themselves.
  • Timing: July 2021 – August 2021
  • Sampling: Killer Beans in Fuego Chilli Sauce, Killer Beans in Smoky Campfire BBQ Sauce

The outcome

  • Over 8,000 shoppers sampled the range
  • Over 3,700 products sold over 124 shifts
  • 45% of shoppers who sampled couldn’t resist taking home a can or two
